Do We Really Care?

I shared a message with the youth Wednesday night entitled, "Do We Really Care?" This was something the Lord put on my heart and scolded me about and I felt led to share it with the youth.

Wednesday after Wednesday and Sunday after Sunday we come into the church building most of the time alone. We may walk in with a brother, sister or some other family member, but how often do we walk in with a “friend” or someone off the street that needs to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. I think the reason we haven’t is because we really don’t care. We could really care less if someone dies and goes to hell. You say, “that is not true”, but your faith is lived out through your actions…what you believe is what you do.
(Read James 2)--"Faith without works is dead..."

If you truly feel that Jesus is the Savior of the world then you would bring more people to Him and to His house. Too many times we throw excuses up and say I’m scared, I don’t know what to say, or something else. Throughout our lives when faced with something tough we power through and learn how to “conquer” it. For instance sports…you battle through and get better, with school work…you practice to understand better, video games…you keep going until you beat the level or the game, if you want music on your i-pod you keep going until you get it done, etc. Yet when it comes to the absolute most serious thing in the entire universe we stop quit and never learn…matter of fact we NEVER EVEN TRY!!!!!

1Co 1:17 For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

The message we are sending is not one of grace, hope, mercy, and love…but one that SCREAMS “I DON’T CARE IF YOU DIE AND GO TO HELL, B/C I CHOSE TO QUIT”
So the question is…DO WE CARE?
